I've been a little busy. . .

The busiest time of year is approaching fast, and I'm already feeling some of it!

* I signed up to sell mark. products and was immediately mailed a package of to die for makeup. ugh I am definitely sold!

* I was so kindly asked to join Looksville, this amazing little style website which is currently in beta, but is definitely worth a look!

* I had the privilege of listening to the breathtaking 5 Browns on Tuesday night! They are remarkably talented siblings and are incredibly chic and stylish at the same time! The music was amazing, and I'd love to hear them again.

* I have a massive psychology test next Wednesday, which I am fretting horribly over. Say prayers!

A favorite verse of mine when going through difficult times!

Exodus 15:2 (New International Version)

The LORD is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation.
He is my God, and I will praise him,
my father's God, and I will exalt him.

" You are my strong tower,"

Dream Shoes .

I was flipping through a magazine and saw an advertisement for this website.
Aren't these shoes amazing?!

I seriously heart Kate Spade, so I'm practically in love with these shoes. Wouldn't they just be perfect with a super simple dress? An outfit where you could really see the shoes from far off. Ah I'm such a shoe addict. .

So I guess you've figured out that I'm sort of a fan of bows by now. Bows on shoes and pockets on dresses.(It's all in the little details!)

I also found cheerful red wedding shoes!
Clearly non traditional, but so fun!
or these shockers ( Not sure I'd be able to pull off the snakeskin look on my wedding day though!)
These sweet flats would be so elegant on a wedding day.

Reaching Out.

I know I'm a little early on this one since Breast Cancer awareness month is October, not September, but it helps to plan ahead!

Here is the amazing site. If you have never read the story behind the Susan G. Komen foundation, then I encourage you too. It's such a sweet story!

Greenville is actually participating in "Race for the Cure". I was dying to try this one, but unfortunately I'm going to have to work instead :/. Maybe next year! Participants will wear these nifty shirts and walk to encourage and raise support of Breast Cancer Survivors and those who are currently fighting Breast Cancer.

Another great way to participate (without wearing yourself out!) is by collecting these super cool Yoplait yogurt lids. How easy is that?! Simply collect them in a plastic bag and send in.

Whichever way you feel lead, helping a cause like this can only make you feel happier.

Love, love, love this song!

"Lead Me To The Cross"

My absolute favorite song right now.

Savior I come
I quiet my soul remember
Redemptions hill
Where Your blood was spilled
For my ransom, yeah, yeah
Oh, everything I once held dear
I count it all as lost

And lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
And Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
And rid me of myself
I belong to You
Oh lead me, oh lead me, lead me to the cross

You were as I
Tempted and trialed
You are
The word became flesh
Bore my sin and death (bore my sin and death)
Now you're risen
Oh, everything I once held dear
I count it all as lost

And lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
And Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
And rid me of myself
I belong to You
Oh lead me, oh lead me, lead me to your heart
Lead me to your heart
Lead me to your heart, yeah, yeah
Lead me to your heart, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah

And lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
And Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
And rid me of myself
I belong to You
Oh lead me, lead me, lead me, lead me, yeah,
Lead me to the cross, the cross
Lead me to the cross, yeah oh

Fall Styles.. ah.

YES! Fall is almost here!! I cannot wait until the leaves begin to change and the outdoors seem more comfy than indoors. I hate cold weather, but cool weather is just my speed. I am dying to bust out my over-flowing collection of scarves , and my super comfy pair of warm boots. I'm also super thrilled that my typical blah wardrobe of grey and black can now be classified as Minimalist. How chic! What am I anticipating buying? Hmmmm. Some light, ruffly tops.. Comfy dark cords, versatile grey or brown heeled booties, and maybe a couple of super soft sweaters

Love, love, love, this cable knit sweater!! I've always been a huge fan of cable knits, and I find this one incredible!!

Oh, isn't this shirt just darling? I think it would work perfectly with a pair of long, dark skinny jeans and nude heels.

Thankful Thursday =)

Today, I am thankful for:

* A long school week being over!

* Another successful and entertaining night of youth class =). Looking forward to another great class next week

* God's amazing grace, his forgiveness, and His constant love for me!

* Relationships, friendships

* The Fall season! Starbucks reintroduced their pumpkin flavor again and it's making me uber excited about the cool nights to come.

* The opportunities I have to better myself and others every single day!

* Love.

My Irreplaceable Youth Group!

This was week two of our Junior Youth Group Meeting. We've been having an amazing time together, and I'm sure we will have fantastic memories in the future =). My lovely assistant snapped a few shots for me! She was such a dear =).

This is my chic Whiteboard. We use this at the end of each lesson to answer these questions we call "Commitment Cores". These questions strike close to home and help us to incorporate the lessons into our daily lives!

Here we seem to be engaged in deep, serious discussion. ;)

Our lovely cork-board. Here we post our weekly memory verse, our class verse, encouraging verses, team assignment and other random items. On the right side, the little white squares spell out R-O-L-E M-O-D-E-L-S. Under the sign we post an index card with a name on it. We learn about different role models in our studies.

Here is our memory verse for this week! ( I got some simply adorable templates from the Microsoft website that they are giving away! )

Here's my sweet class as a whole! 2 girls and 3 boys. Hoping to grow throughout the year!

So far we've covered:

1. Anger
Our "role model" was Joseph.
Cool off.
Own your own anger.
Offer your anger to God.
Let friends help!

2. Attitude
Our "role model" was the psalmist.
Positive in, positive out!

Hiking Trip!

Yesterday after school my sweetheart and I went on a little hike at a nearby park.
The weather is finally starting to cool down a bit, so the temperature was just perfect for hiking!
We hiked down by the lake and then up through some biking trails.
At the close of our hike we raced each other up a hill to the car.
He let me win.
It was fantastic.

Just before we started our hike.

My handsome trail guide.

We stopped for a rest near the dam.

I was so exhausted; it was amusing.

We had a splendid time!
I can't wait to go again =)
