Please pray for Jonathan.

Friends, this morning I have a very heavy heart. My cousin, Jonathan, who has been taking chemotherapy treatments since March of last year is terribly sick today. He is in the hospital and the doctors are running more tests. Jonathan has been so strong throughout this journey- and it should be complete by next week; Lord willing. Please please pray that Jonathan's body will recover and that he will be cancer free.

Jonathan is such a strong Christian. He inspires me beyond words to live a better life for Christ. Please pray for him throughout your day- I will repost will an update as soon as I get one.

Thank you dearly,

Totally Charming!

I've officially fallen in love with Tiffany and Co's new charms. Oh, they are so darling!!

My favorites are:

the dove

and

I'm not a fan of charm bracelets, but wouldn't they look just darling on a simple chain necklace?! I love love love.

Weekend thoughts.

Are you ready for this week to begin? For some strange reason I'm super excited for this week!

I'm crazy giddy that I have a date with this fine fellow tomorrow evening:

So handsome!! and sweet, and charming, and loving and . . . . . . . ;) you get the idea.

I've been incredibly inspired this year so far:
- I've started learning French
- I've started learning CSS because I'm dying to change the font on my blog!
- I bought a cross stitch that's way too hard for me ( I'm going to list that as a challenge).
- I've successfully been saving (major plus because I loove to shop).

Of course, we're having our annual Super Bowl Party, so I'm pretty excited about that!

Have a peaceful evening,
xoxo

Friday Favorites!

Sorry the post is a tad late this week- I had a super fun and busy week this week!

First, my new favorite shoes:

I found these cuties while I was shopping during the week for only $20! I was so thrilled to wear them at Homecoming last night. I sort of have an obsession with black heels, I have about seven pairs. Each pair is soo different though! And hey, they were on sale, so it's like they don't even count.... right??

My favorite moment of the week was last night: I got to crown my sister as Homecoming Queen!!! It was such an awesome moment. I have lots of pictures- but they are all really blurry and bad quality :/. Here are some of the best ones:

more to come later!

My favorite post of the week was Lyndsie's Schedule . I can't wait to put mine to use next week!

My favorite deal of the week: a mani/ pedi/ wax for only $20.00! I am so excited to get all pampered!!

My favorite scent right now: well it probably isn't a surprise, but I love love love Island Margarita scent at Bath and Body Works. Right now they have this handy deal- get 3 mini candles for $5! I had a really hard time deciding, but I finally chose : Island Margarita, Island Nectar, and Seaside Escape. They remind me so much of summertime- just gets me excited :).

I also picked up some Lemon hand soap. I love that they are all antibacterial and smell super yummy.

My favorite drink right now is: Iceland Pure Spring Water.
It tastes so fresh and clean (unlike the well water I am used to).

Hope you are enjoying a fabulous weekend! The weather here is so warm and light- feels fantastic!

I'm kind of pen fanatic.

Truth be told, I'm sort of amazed with pens. Not joking, I have a strict set of favorites. During my early school years I couldn't have cared less about my handwriting. However fast I could get the job done was how I did it. Something drastic happened between ninth and tenth grade- I suddenly became obsessed with my handwriting and I changed it. It went from looking like chicken scratch to looking like computer font! (okay maybe that is an exaggeration but let's just say it looked nice). So anyways I began my quest for the perfect pen. I found quite a few that suited well... and honestly they range depending on my mood. Yep, I just said that I write with different pens based on what my mood is. So I've compiled a little collection of my faves:

oh. em. gee. The middle Sharpie is pretty much the best pen ever invented. The tip is super fine and the ink is really dark.. plus I love that the body is pretty thick so it's easy to hold on to. I've owned the version on top,but it's too skinny for me! Is it odd that I hold my pen super strange like this:
And now for the disappointers:

This pen clumped a ton and it writes really thick! I like pens that write thin so I wasn't such a big fan.

Gadgety pens are so overrated. They usually are duds when it comes to actually functioning like pens. hah.

Last, the lovely "clicky pens". I don't like these because they typically just distract me! Instead of writing with them I usually just keep scrolling through the messages..

So the next time you decide to spruce up your desk with some fancy new pens, keep this post in mind and don't end up with a dud! ;).

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Tuck!

We celebrated bart's sweet mommy's birthday on Monday night! Bart so kindly treated us to Miyabi's (super yummy food!)and we had a splendid time together :).

Bart's mom is a pro with chopsticks. She ate her salad and her rice with them! I'm such an amateur that I decided to save myself the headaches and stick with my fork .

Bart and I sat under the spotlight which totally washed our skin tones out for the picture. oops! We had a fun time joking with the couple next two us who were also celebrating a birthday!

The birthday girl, enjoying her special night out!

Our sweet chef stuck a cute candle in her "rice cake" and she blew it out (and made a wish of course). It was so darling! If you look closely you can still see the smoke moving off the rice cake.

We had such a fabulous evening- Happy Birthday, Mrs Tuck!!

Music

Lately I've been listening to a lot of this:

With my 2.5 hour commute I'm really enjoying the music and talk radio time. Next up- Audio Books?

Scripture Sundays

This is my first Scripture Sunday post and I'm very excited about it! Each Sunday I will share a certain passage of scripture that I am really appreciating. Today, I'm really loving that Colossians 2: 13 says: And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses.

It excites me so so much that Christ has forgiven all of my sins- even before I commit them. Of course, I will have consequences for the sins I commit, but it is just fascinating to me that I can have that permanent peace and know that God will always love me, always want me forever; nothing can change that!

I hope you have a fabulous Sunday after-noon. I'm looking forward to a nap or maybe a cup of steaming tea :).

heh.

isn't he just the cutest ever?!

I think so.

Take the test

I just took the 5 love languages test and was surprised at my results. I began reading the book a while ago, but (shocker) I ran out of time and had to return it to the library. The book has a ton of useful information in it and it's just so intriguing to think about how each of us expresses love differently. I think it's so magnificent that God created each one of us so uniquely that we all can feel so unlike each other.I highly recommend this book and I know it will be just as big of a blessing to you as it was to me!

Friday Favorites! / Catch Up

This week has been crazy! It began with 7 inches of snow and ended with 60 degree weather. Only in the South. This week has been exceptionally happy for me because I began my new job!I've had the most wonderful time getting to know two of the sweetest girls on the planet! I'm such a blessed babysitter & I really look forward to the future :). This week has been insane trying to get myself back onto a schedule after being off of one for well over a month! Luckily I'm getting back on track quickly, and for now I have the mornings free to catch up on my rest. Even though the weather is annoyingly cold, it's beginning to warm up and soon it will be Spring ( my fave season ever).

This week, Mineral Makeup is my favorite. I read on a site that mineral makeup acne treatment really works- so I tried it. I really like it! I can tell a small difference just within the past week that I've been using it. The best part? No scent, and it's powdery so it blends right into skin and you forget you're wearing it! Fabulous.

I'm obsessed with bagels. They are so good! I love them doused in cream cheese ( especially flavored cream cheese) and lightly toasted. Yum yumyum! Dunkin' Donuts will know me by my first name soon...

Oh, and did I mention that I'm learning French? I am. I'm super excited about it too! I can say: Quelle est la date d'augourd' hui?
and C'est combien? I'm working on other frequently used saying as well.

My absolute favorite thing of the week?? My rose from my date last night. My sweet boyfriend surprised me with a rose and a yummy dinner to Outback. What a jewel! We enjoyed a lovely dinner together and had a total blast. Ah, he makes me feel like such a princess.

I hope that you are having a lovely weekend- enjoy it!

What I'm reading Wednesday:

For now I'm still making my way through Crazy Love. It's so fantastic!! Every time I pick it up I am reminded and encouraged of God's grace, and given beneficial advice about how I should be living. This book is perfect for anyone. Read it!

Friday Favorites!

This Friday my favorites are :

Sunlight. I'm loving that all this nasty snow is melting away and that it will hopefully have disappeared by Monday!

Lately I'm trying to steer away from the loaded calorie coffees and frozen drinks, and instead replace them with hot and cold flavored teas. I'm a big hot tea drinker and this week I found another flavor that's super good:Twinning's Mixed Berry Black Tea. It's made of chopped cherry, raspberry and redcurrant. So yummy!

I'm a huge fan of "easy to read" scripture and I've really grown to love this Bible. It's tiny so I can carry it with me, and I found it at Crossway for $5.00 ( extra bonus!).

I just finished watching this movie-ugh a tear jerker! It's a sad movie, but it definitely teaches you something by the end. Great, great movie.

This candle is to die for. It smells so great that I've almost totally used it up. Bath and Body Works' candles are still my favorite because they last a long time, have a very strong scent, and are made very well. Finding them on sale makes buying them even more tempting!

It's official. I'm totally obsessed with Sudoku. I got the free app last night on my itouch and I've been playing ever since! I've heard it's good for your brain.... that's a good enough excuse. Right?!

Have a delightful weekend!!
